"In our busy and over -burdened world, there is something so meaningful about the conscious act of a giving oneself over to immersion in an art form. As I watch people dedicate themselves to studying dance in this intensive way, I realize that I'm witnessing a deliberate surrendering of old ways of understanding and being; a desire to" break out of the box", and leave constrictions past behind. It is a purposeful welcoming of change and transformation, which is such a courageous act, and I count my blessings that I'm able to be a part of it."

“It is not only the telling of our dance story that changes us, but it is also the experience of being heard and seen that can help bind our soul's deepest wounds. As women, our ideas, our culture and our ways of knowing are often made invisible by the larger society. We reach out to make connection to others....
Through body stance, they affirm your experience. As you speak, they nod and murmur encouragement. Imagine, how strong your dance becomes, how clearly you can express yourself and how easy it is to express the things you previously could not say. You and your psyche and your spirit are being held by the love inherent in the power of the group's witnessing. You drink it in and you flourish because of it.”

"We identify the source of this dance as love. Love of the universe, of people, for ourselves, love of the joy of dancing, and love of spiritual connectedness. When we dance we have focused intention. We come to the dance with the knowledge that it can change people's lives. Done for women, by women in community, it is about women's power. You can use this dance form to change the world. "
